M.A.Alfer Ahamed, Grade 11 student of Al-Hira Maha Vidyalaya, Kattankudy coming under the purview of Batticaloa Central Educational Zone has invented and automatic water tap using waste materials to wash hands at the entrance of his school recently.
Eastern Province Governor Anuradha Yahampath appreciated the inventor by calling him to her Governors’ Secretariat in Trincomalee and awarding him. She emphasized that all such persons should be encouraged.
The same student exhibited an electric hot plate at the exhibition of Young Inventor at the University of Colombo in 2019.
The Secretary of the Eastern Province Governor, father of the student and Provincial Correspondent M.H.M.Anver and others were all present on this occasion.
