WindForce (Pvt) Ltd, a leading renewable energy development company in Sri Lanka has recently appointed Lasith Wimalasena as its Chief Executive Officer.
The company owns, develops and operates over 200MW of wind, solar and hydro power plants in Sri Lanka and overseas. Wimalasena is a proactive, performance-driven professional with 24 years of progressive expertise working on projects in the power sector, and in manufacturing and corporate environments. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Honours Degree with specialization in Chemistry from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.
Wimalasena commenced his career at LTL Transformer/ LTL Galvanizers Ltd, where he held a number of Senior Management roles. He joined WindForce (Pvt) Ltd as its Chief Operating Officer in 2013.
