Bourse ends in positive territory

Bourse concluded the yesterday in positive territory, rebounding from a six day negative skid mainly boosted by the price appreciations in LOLC and ASIR.

The benchmark index, ASPI, witnessed a steady uptrend early in the day reaching an intraday high of 6,116, followed by a sideways movement ultimately closing at 6,100 gaining 39 points. A net foreign outflow was witnessed amidst high foreign participation.

The secondary market yield curve remained broadly unchanged while overall market witnessed limited activity amidst thin volumes. At the primary bond auction held today, CBSL accepted LKR 15.0 billion of 15.09.24 at a weighted average of 9.87% and LKR 10.0 billion of 15.05.30 at a weighted average of 10.23%.
