Inflation 4.3% in March

The year on year (YoY) inflation in March 2019 as measured by the Sri Lanka’s Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI) is 4.3%.

The inflation reported for February stood at 4%.The YoY inflation of food group for the month of March 2019 was 1.4% and the inflation rate for the month of February 2019 was also 1.4%.

Inflation of non food group has increased from 6.4% in February to 6.7% in March during the period, the Department of Census and Statistics said.
