Sri Lankan Chambers have condemned the Easter Sunday attacks and strongly condemn the multiple explosions targeting several Churches and Hotels in Sri Lanka.
AMCHAM calls for swift enforcement of law and order
The American Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka (AMCHAM) strongly condemned the attacks that took place in the country yesterday at multiple locations.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and all those affected during this tragic time.”
“We stand united with our fellow Sri Lankans and look up to our leaders and the authorities concerned to swiftly enforce law and order, whilst upholding the principles of democracy and the stability of the nation.”
NCCSL deeply saddened due to present situation
The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) is deeply saddened by the many explosions that occurred on April 21, 2019, targeting innocent civilians of the country. The National Chamber strongly condemns such attacks on religious locations and hotels that are connected more with businesses.
We urge the authorities for a speedy investigation to the matter and have law and order in place without allowing other groups to take advantage of the situation.
The entire country should be united at this moment and support the authorities to maintain law and order.
cnci condemns cowardly attacks by brutal explosions
The Chairman of the Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI), Raja Hewabowala said in a press release that he, together with all its members, strongly condemn the multiple explosions which had sadly taken place in several Churches and Hotels in the island, targeting devotees and innocent people.
We express our heartfelt sorrow and deepest condolences to the grieving family members of all affected victims, while praying for the quick recovery of all injured, he further said.
We urge the Government and the authorities concerned to take immediate steps to maintain law and order and also to conduct impartial investigations to bring the culprits into book and punish them to avoid any recurrence.
Hewabowala also requested the general public not to panic in the face of misleading and unverified information and act in a responsible manner, while extending our fullest assistance for the authorities to restore law and order.
FCCISL supports govt. to bring back the normalcy
Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCISL) condems in the strongest possible terms the brutal terror attack carried out on places of worship and hotels on Easter Sunday causing death to 290 innocent people and substantial damage to the properties and the economy.
FCCISL wish to express heartfelt condolence to families of all affected people both foreigners and Sri Lankans and wish a speedy recovery for all those who are convalescing from the tragic incident took place in Sri Lanka.
In this hour of need FCCISL, fully support the government of Sri Lanka in its all- lawful actions to bring back the normalcy to the country and earnestly request the government to take stern action against those who are responsible for this heinous crime against humanity.
SLASSCOM condemns Easter Sunday attacks
The Board of Directors of the Sri Lanka Association of Software and Services Companies (SLASSCOM), is shocked and deeply saddened by the multiple explosions that occurred on Sunday morning. We condemn these multiple attacks. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families and all those affected by the explosions.
We are confident that the authorities would maintain law and order, investigate and bring those perpetrators before the law. It is vital at this point that the nation stands united and not be misled by unverified reports/information. We call upon all Sri Lankans to act in a responsible manner and assist the authorities to restore normalcy.
