The 14th Hotel Asia Exhibition & International Culinary Challenge concluded last Saturday at at the Dharubaaruge Exhibition Hall in the Maldives with the highest number of participants from Sri Lanka.
The Culinary Challenge 2018 is judged by an internationally certified judging panel from the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS).
Chief Judge, International Culinary Challenge & Project Director – Hotel Asia said that the Culinary Challenge when introduced was held in a small area under one tent and today it has increased to 680 participants. “We hope to increase this to 1,000 next year.”
The challenge has received over 600 entries from 60 resorts for 2018 year. “It is encouraging to see that more than 90% of the confirmed participants in September have assured their participation on the new dates.” EVO is the Culinary Equipment Sponsor and the event is being organized by the Maldives Exhibition & Conference Services (Pvt) Limited.
“Since its inception in the year 2000 the high-profile trade show is a “top-notch” event and is in par with other world class trade-shows,” said Arjun Dharmadasa, Managing Director, South Asia Exhibition Services.
The event was being organized by the Maldives Exhibition & Conference Services (Pvt) Limited. The trade-show has been endorsed by three bodies, Ministry of Tourism Republic of Maldives, Ministry of Economic Development Republic of Maldives and the Maldives National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
