Badi-Ud-Din Mahmud Colours Eve And The Founders Day

The Colours night and Founder’s Day of Badi-ud-din Mahmud Girls’ College was held at the Mahinda Rajapaksha Auditorium in Polgolla on September 22.

The occasion was graced by Minister Rauf Hakeem, Minister Kabir Hashim, Tariq Mahmud President of the Shoora Council and son of the late Dr. Badi-ud-din Mahmud, the Deputy Mayor of Kandy and members of the Provincial and Urban Council. Minister Rauff Hakeem crowned Haala Marikar the Senior Mahmudian Queen of the year and Dheena Thasim was crowned the Junior Mahmudian Queen. Mahmudians were awarded bronze, silver, green, yellow and gold stars, special awards, merit awards, and the school colours based on their performance in various fields. The event was organized by the Principal Shihana A Raheem, the staff, the School Development Committee and the Parent Organizing Commitee. The event was witnessed by VIPs, retired principals, teachers, parents and students.
