Amagi Aria Negombo to re-open fully refurbished 10 rooms in pool wing

Amagi Aria Negombo will be re-opening their fully refurbished 10 rooms in the pool wing including two special rooms for the partially able on December 18. The room inventory of 68 includes four suites with Jacuzzis on the balcony, 44 deluxe and 20 superior rooms.

In addition, one of their most sought after attractions, Amagi Aria Negombo roof top Seafood Restaurant “MOYA” in the new wing too would be opened after a mega refurbished drive.

CEO Amagi Group, Jude Silve Pulle said that during the lockdown the management also invested in upgrading the rooms and other facilities to meet with the modern day demands of travelers. He also said that they have also contracted with an Indonesian company to open a Balinese Spa with four treatment rooms in January. “Armed with these facilities we are now seeking official four star statues from Sri Lanka Tourism.”

“We have invested nearly Rs. 70 million during the lockdown for these upgrades offering 40 new employment opportunities for the youth. Amagi Aria offers diversified dining experiences for both residents and visitors. Moya, a fine dining seafood restaurant in Negombo, is an ideal representation for the restaurant,” said General Manager Lakshman De Silva.

“For private dining experiences, the Tree House can accommodate up to 15 guests and while the Pontoon in the Negombo lagoon can house up to 20 guests. The Grand Lawn or Sunset Deck is ideal for quiet evenings. The hotel also has a kids and a large swimming pool and also has many other recreation facilities. “We also arrange City tours to Negombo covering all major attractions including a lagoon boat safari.”

“We maintain around 40% occupancy and the forward booking is positive. “We also have card promotions giving 40% off for all cards. We also have mega plans for Christmas and 31 nights adhering to the health restrictions.”

Head of Sales and Marketing, Ahamed Safraz said that the Amagi Aria Negombo is a much sought after venue for both Local and especially Indian weddings Indoor and outdoor where the Indian guests spend around three nights. The large garden and the lagoon setting for photo shoots along with two tiers Ariya Ballroom (giving a bird eye of the poruwa) could accommodate 280 guests are major plus points to market weddings.” The hotel also has a special area to host conferences with all modern facilities that could accolade 60 guests. Created in 2011 with 22 rooms, a seven-storey wing consisting 44 deluxe rooms and of 04 suites at Amagi Aria were added in 2017. Amagi Hotels is headed by founder and Chairman Somanathan Ganeshanathan, a former chef who worked in high-end hotels and resorts in the Maldives and diversified entrepreneur. The management also owns and operates Amagi 27 room resort hotel Amagi Beach in Marawila and also has plans to build an airport hotel and invest in a large four-star hotel in Tangalle with a Maldivian partner.
