The Sri Lanka Telecom and Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel announces that they would be releasing the general public from call charges from 6 pm yesterday, to 6.00 pm today, due o the prevailing situation.
SLT and Mobitel urges the customers to use this facility for emergency calls and make the call duration as short as possible.
At the same time, steps have been taken to provide 100 additional telephone connections to the Colombo General Hospital, Negombo General Hospital and the Batticaloa General Hospital to expedite communication activities.
We request all Sri Lankans to communicate calmly due to at this sad moment.
