Micro Electric Group, received the ISO 9001:2015 certification from the TNV Certification Pvt. Ltd, India (accredited by United Accreditations Foundation (UAF) of Norfolk, USA) recently for their range of electrical products.
Micro Electric International has been an electric equipment importer since in 1995 and in 1998 took the decision for electric equipment and accessories manufacturing and commenced exports from 1998. The company now manufactures over 45 products under its Divolca and Micro brands.
Micro Electric International (Pvt) Ltd was crowned the ‘SME Brand of the Year’ award at the recently concluded SLIM Brands Excellence Awards 2020. This is recognizing the family-run company’s dynamism and business acumen.
Diversifying its business interests, Micro Electric has also ventured into the export of organic fresh produce through Royal Organic (Pvt) Ltd, an ISO 22000/HACCP company. They are currently supplying organic fresh produce to buyers in the UK, Japan and several Gulf countries.
“During this 25-year journey, we had to face a lot of hardships during the time to elevate the business to what its today and this ISO certification endorses the high quality we maintain during our production,” said Chairman, Micro Electric International, Dhammika Samarawickrama.
Meanwhile, a subsidiary company of Micro Electric Group is gearing create local history by manufacturing the first locally made smart-phone by the end of this year via a joint venture with Lodule Korea, a leading Korean mobile and TV component manufacturer for which the Sri Lankan Embassy in South Kora too is assisting.
