CLP Ceylon team

CLP Ceylon Ltd a diversified company recently launched a revolutionary App, weknow.lk to cater to almost all needs of Sri Lankans. The company invested around Rs. 40 million for this.

“Though there are many APPs today, users have to move from one APP to another to get their essentials attended to,” said Director CLP Ceylon Ltd, Chathura Pallewaththa at the launch at Hotel Sapphire Colombo.

Hence CLP Ceylon team, under the guidance of Managing Director Nushan Ekanayake took up the challenge of putting together an App that could provide all requirements from one App and this is how weknow.lk was created.

“With weknow.lk you can order items from a needle to a helicopter charter making it the first such advanced app. It can also be accessed from English, Sinhala and Tamil.”

weknow.lk today offers servicers ranging from Doctors, Engineers, Architects, Lawyers, as well as carpenters, plumbers, masons, technicians, cleaners and all kinds of home deliveries and many more services.

“One of our popular usage areas is the transport sector where we offer the cheapest rate for passengers and rent a car, van, lorry or any other vehicle. weknow.lk has a special area marked in pink where servicers of female drivers could be obtained. We have around 500 new users joining weknow.lk daily and due to the popularity, we will soon introduce long-distance bus and railway booking and utility bill payments as well.

To cater to non-android phone users and to provide voice support for any inquiries we also offer a 24-hour trilingual call centre.”

He said that another area they will soon extend tier service would be to the health sector where a user could get a PCR test done from any location.

For users, the app could be downloaded free of charge and for service providers they are charged a yearly rental to be listed. In a bid to encourage the MICRO and SME sector we offer them a special joining fee.

One of the other unique features is the ‘location service’ that we offer where the users will be directed to any government or private sector institution such as Pardeshiya Saba, AGA and Post officers, Schools Hospitals, Banks and other such commonplaces without any hassle. “This is by using satellite GPS technology to link to Android /IOS phones to be directed to the location accurately.’’

CLP Ceylon team hopes to list Spa and offer special hotel packages as well when the pandemic settles.
