Sriyananda Wijekoon, Chairman of the renowned hotel chain in the hill country, the Golden Hospitality (Pvt) Ltd which owns The Golden Crown Hotel in Kandy, was presented with the Gold Award in Extra Large Category of Central Province at the Entrepreneur of the Year Awards Ceremony organized by the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industries in Sri Lanka (FCCISL).
Wijekoon who has over 20 years of experience in hospitality industry is also the chairman of Sriyananda Traders. There are six luxury hotels under the umbrella of the Golden Hospitality; namely The Golden Crown Hotel (5 Star), The Serene in Kandy, The Golden Ridge (5 Star), The Westbury (Super Luxury Boutique Hotel), The Clovelly (Luxury Boutique Hotel) and The Victoria (Luxury Boutique Hotel) in Nuwara Eliya. The company’s next venture, The Golden Heights, yet another luxury hotel concept will be unveiled with a novel concept in Kandy.
