FTZ Toastmasters Club KEPZ Katunayake appointed TM Wazeer Mohammed as its President at the 13th installation ceremony for 2018-19 held on Saturday in Seeduwa. DTM Suganthi Periyasami participated as the chief guest with DTM Ajantha Jayewardene as the guest of honour. DTM Suganthi Periyasami the chief guest said this year is going to be auspicious one not only for FTZ but also for the district and the FTZ has been a part of her Leadership journey. she said the club has been doing verywell in terms of supporting the district and has being nurturing new members and talents. Periyasami said that she would like to also see the club grow in its educational journey.
President Wazeer Mohammed said they had to organize the program in a very short time. But members proved that he was not alone and that there was a team behind him. Therefore it was a privilege to become the president of this privileged club.” The best assets of the club is the senior members who are always behind us, helping us, and with their support I am sure we can go a long way,”
DTM Ajantha Jayewardene addressing the gathering said he would like to see the incoming president having a goal and target for further achievements of the FTZ Toastmasters club particularly in the education side.
TM Gayanika Gunasekara installed the new Ex Co for 2018-19. Chulani Seneviratne was selected as the Toastmaster of the Year. TM Sudath Fernando and TM Vishwa Fernando entertained the audience with the team song -Heal the World.
