Sri Lanka’s leading private and public sector organizations Dialog, National Savings Bank and Laufgs Holdings won the first three prestigious prizes of `Great HR Quiz- 2017’ conducted by the Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka (IPM).
Over 400 participants represented by nearly 65 teams from all over the country attended the colourful event which was conducted in Colombo under the patronage of Labour and Trade Union Relations State Minister Ravindra Smaraweera. Waters Edge Chairman Chamath de Silva was the Guest of Honour.
Speaking on the occasion State Minister Samaraweera highlighted the invaluable service rendered by the IPM to produce most important Human Resource personnel who contribute to the country’s economy development activities to a greater extent.
He said he would always extend his fullest support and cooperation towards the development of economy in the country and highlighted the importance of conducting this HR Quiz competition among top HR professionals of the country’s leading organizations such as Peoples’ Bank, Nations Trust Bank (NTB), Dialog, Sri Lanka Telecom, Nestle, Taj Hotels and MAS Holdings.
IPM President Prof. Ajantha Dharmasiri while highlighting the institution’s vision “To be a guiding force and global leader in developing and managing human capital” said IPM is Sri Lanka’s leading institution for Human Resource and it has over 8,500 students with nearly 1,500 members in leading institutions all over the country.
He said IPM is also affiliated to the internationally renowned Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resource Management (APFHRM) and World Federation on Personnel Management Association (WFPMA) that issue most recognized programme certificates.
IPM Marketing Manager Damien Balan said IPM also holds the vice president position of APFHRM and was also awarded with the most prestigious quality award – ISO 9001:2015.
