The Benchmark Index, ASPI closed the day at 6,361.03 points, losing 24.53 points, while the Blue Chip Index S&P SL20 decreased by 7.27 points or -0.2% to close at 3,676.23.
Foreigners took the position of net sellers for the day, recording a net foreign outflow of LKR 264 mn for the day.
Manufacturing Sector managed to record the highest turnover of LKR1012mn for the day, followed Diversified Holdings Sector and Bank Finance and Insurance Sector with daily turnovers of LKR 367.4 mn and LKR 65.5 mn respectively.
Year to date ASPI Performance stood at +2.1%, while Year to date Blue Chip Index increased by 5.1%.
Out of the 261 counters traded yesterday, 112 companies declined while 44 companies closed higher.
