Temple Tree Resorts and Spa Induruwa would be investing Rs. 250 million to add 20 rooms to increase their inventory to meet the growing demand.
Managing Director of Temple Tree Resort and Spa, Hiran Houx, who also owns and operate CISMAT GmbH a travel and logistics company based in Frankfurt with several European branches, said he frequently travelled to Sri Lanka and was looking for a place to unwind.
“I also loved Sri Lankan beaches and built a private retreat in this present location which was opened to my family and friends and was later expanded to enable others to share the property by opening Temple Tree Resorts and Spa.”
He said that he wanted to give something back to Sri Lanka and decided to convert his private house to a 10-room hotel in 2004.
“I never thought this would be so successful and I am happy that the Temple Tree and Resorts and Spa is able to offer employment for youth and most importantly contribute to the Sri Lankan economy in foreign currency.”
The CISMAT GmbH financing services include CASS accounting, billing and IATA CASS data transfer and manual invoicing, key account management, sales, invoicing and accounting, bad dept liability, interfaces to third party systems, import collect AWB invoicing and PO mail billing. Proactive and creative marketing yields substantial revenue increases. Fixed costs are reduced, as the financial risk is covered by CISMAT GmbH.
Director Sales and Marketing and General Manager of the hotel Rohan Liyanage said that the hotel was initially opened in 2004 with 10 rooms. “Due to our beachfront location, large rooms, high quality of service and many other features the hotel soon became very popular.”
“Today the hotel has one Presidential Suite, two executive suites, 9 deluxe and 38 superior rooms. Spacious guestrooms are stylishly designed and feature a modern interior and are equipped with equipped with a mini bar, a personal safe and a flat-screen TV with cable/satellite channels. In addition, 24-hour room service is available. Guests enjoy free Wi-Fi access in the entire hotel.
The boutique hotel also offers two swimming pools including a built-in spa pool, spa services and a restaurant with sea views. “We see increasing forward bookings and therefore have now decided to add 20 rooms.”
The hotel will introduce a gym and pool tables to add more recreational facilities.
“Our main market is Germany, the UK and French and recently, we have a growing Middle Eastern market.”
