Hayleys Advantis Limited, a subsidiary of Haylevs PLC, in a Colombo Stock Exchange filing, announced the acquisition of 94.81% equity stake of Sri Lanka Shipping Company Limited on August 23 for a purchase consideration of approximately Rs. 4.9 billion. This acquisition is in line with the Group’s strategy on expanding its maritime operations and paving the way for the establishment of the largest marine and shipping company in Sri Lanka.
