Consumer prices up 6% year-on-year in May

Consumer prices has increased 6% year-on-year in May, 2017, following 6.9% gain in April.

It was the lowest inflation rate since January, as prices rose at a slower pace for clothing and footwear (4.5% from 7.4% in April); health (10.3% from 27.2%); communication (0% from 16%); recreation and culture (1.3% from 3.2%) and housing (0% from 0.1%).In contrast, cost accelerated for food and non-alcoholic beverages (9.3% from 8.6%); transport (3.9% from 3.6%) and alcoholic beverages and tobacco (26.4% from 25.9%).
