Malaysia to introduce e-visa system for tourists

Malaysian Airlines launches Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix 2017 here

 

Malaysia said they have been able to ease the process of travelling there with the introduction of an e-visa which will be a convenient addition to the travel experience.

Malaysia as a leading tourist destination targets 36 million tourist arrivals and RM 168 billion in receipts by 2020. Malaysian Airlines announced the launch of the 2017 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix for the first time in Sri Lanka together with Sepang International Circuit.Sepang International Circuit together with Malaysian Airlines also announced that during the event ticket prices to Malaysia will be reduced by 80%. Officials from Sepang International Circuit said they launched this in Sri Lanka for the first time owing to the reception received from the Indian Outbound travellers.

Sepang expects at least 500 Sri Lankan Outbound tourists to arrive at the Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix this year.

The 19th edition of the race in Malaysia will be held from 29 September to 1 October 2017. Coming right after the Singapore Grand Prix happening two weeks prior, the race offers a unique double Fl treat in Southeast Asia. The Shell Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix 2017 returns on 27 to 29 October 2017, again as the penultimate race in the MotoGP calendar, 4 weeks after the Malaysia Fl Grand PRIX . A personal from Sepang International Circuit in her presentation said that they received 102,000 spectators for the event the previous year.

To boost the arrivals for the event Sepang International Circuit and Malaysian Airlines have revised the air fairs.

“This year, it will be free seating on a first come first served basis at the Main Grandstand, F Grandstand and Kl Grandstand areas. With no numbered seating, spectators will be able to move about within the respective grandstand areas during race weekend. Tickets for children aged 12 and below are available at 50% off the corresponding adult ticket prices, while children below 7 years old may enter for free, but they will not be allocated a seat without a ticket. Meanwhile, all fans with disabilities can purchase special tickets for Main Grandstand seating at RM 308.43” Sepang officials said during the presentation.
