Homelands Skyline has made its mark by being the first real estate company to move to digital. This is an industry first for the Sri Lankan market.

Chairman and Managing Director of Homelands Group, Nalin Herath said, “to stay on par with the changing marketing environment, we were able to successfully reorganize our resources to create and boost a strong online presence. Since most people hunt for houses online and are looking for all the information they need with one click; we took the initial risk and invested in digital marketing. “

The Digital Marketing team was formed under the patronage of Chairman and Managing Director of Homelands Holdings, Nalin Herath and General Manager Homelands Holdings Lanka Jayasinghe and was subsequently taken over by Keith Madampage Head of Digital Marketing.

The team worked alongside Lanka Jayasinghe and Anushi Hettiarachchi Head of Sales and Marketing Operations who briefed the team in accordance to brand guidelines and marketing strategies that had been implemented in the past.

“Realizing the growing need to create an online presence and being able to predict the influence it will have on awareness and sales, we decided to put together a team of individuals to take us into the next phase.” Lanka Jayasinghe said, “However, although we have shifted our focus from traditional marketing to digital marketing, we continue to invest moderately into all tiers and marketing methods to ensure that we are visible 360o.”

The Digital Marketing team is led by Keith Madampage and comprises digital marketeers, Thilina Guruge, Anushka Kothalawala, Rumesh Prabath Udayanga; alongside Mariam De La Zilwa Assistant Manager Digital Marketing and Corporate Communications.

“Digital Marketing undoubtedly plays a centre-stage role in today’s businesses, regardless of its sector,” explained Keith Madampage. “By realigning our marketing strategy and resources and launching value additions to our online market, we were able to boost awareness and sales; and by strategizing the use of social media, we created a platform which allows us to reach our target audience while creating a lasting impact.”
