Gamma Pizzakraft Lanka shines at Great Place to Work Awards

Officials with the award

Gamma Pizzakraft Lanka, presently the single franchisee for Pizza Hut and Taco Bell in Sri Lanka, set the stage alight picking up multiple prestigious awards at the ‘Great Places to Work 2020’ awards ceremony held recently at The Hilton Colombo.

The company was presented with the recognition of the 13th Best Workplace of ‘Asia’s Top 25 Great Places to Work’ in the Larger Organization Category – the first time the organization was awarded at Asian level, and one of the ‘Best 40 Great Places to Work in Sri Lanka’ for the sixth consecutive year.

The company also walked away with the Silver Award for ‘Best in Large Sized Enterprises’ and was honoured with the prestigious Great Place to Work Cube Award for the ‘Best Workplace for Gen Z in Sri Lanka’, re-emphasizing that the organization fosters genuine human connections and enables employees to bring their unique selves to work.

Gamma Pizzakraft Lanka Kaushal Mendis, Director Human Resources said, “We take immense pride in carrying the accolades that our people have consistently endorsed enabling Gamma to be recognized as a Great Place to Work in Sri Lanka. Taking a step ahead and elevating us to be ranked amongst the top 25 Great Places to Work in Asia, our people have enabled us to move in to the Global Arena. We are committed towards harnessing our core values which revolve around our people and which bond our Gamma Family together. We cherish every bit of our accomplishment as one family and we are committed towards placing our People on the Front Page”.

Gamma Pizzakraft Lanka Yasa Nadaraja, CEO added, “We are honoured and delighted that our efforts have been recognized not only locally, but by the highest in Asia. We are extremely proud of our teams at Pizza Hut and Taco Bell and look to further sustain the bonds which we enjoy as one family”.

Gamma Pizzakraft Lanka treats teamwork as a vital ingredient of their success formula. Accordingly, their strategy revolves around implementing systems for teams as opposed to individuals. That however, does not mean an employee’s needs as an individual are not catered for. With development programmes available for all employees, it is encouraged by the organization that each and every staff member does their level best in a happy and safe working environment.

This gives employees a true feeling of empowerment thus emboldening them to keep climbing the corporate ladder and create better versions of themselves in time to come.
