Unidil donates NPVS to Gampaha District Hospital

Unidil a corrugated carton manufacturer in Sri Lanka, in yet another community support initiative, has donated Negative Pressure Ventilation System (NPVS) to COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit of Gampaha District Hospital at a cost of Rs. 1.2 mn.

This unit vacuums all the negative air at the ICU unit and helps to supply clean air to the ICU Unit. Without this system, the unit cannot operate as infected air may affect the other patients and the hospital staff.

The donations took place at the hospital premises with the participation of Bannet Gamalath, Chief Executive Officer, Indika Ilukkumbura, Finance Manager, Mangala Subasinghe, Head of Sales and Marketing, Dileepa Dananjaya, Head of HR of Unidil Packaging and the Director of the Gampaha District Hospital, Dr Priyantha Illeperuma and medical staff. This donation was given at the request of Dr Sampath Kulathunga.

Unidil is the packaging arm of the prestigious business conglomerate of Vallibel One PLC.

The company has been in business over the last 25 years and has been able to make its presence in the packaging industry as the market leader.

The manufacturing facility consists of high-end types of machinery and techniques from Europe and China. The company plays a vital role in the sectors of corrugated cartons and paper sacks manufacturing in the country.
