Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa has told airline representatives to promote the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport.
The Minister made this request to the airline representatives at a meeting on Friday, Director/ CEO Hayleys Aviation Gerard Victoria told Daily News Business. He said that all the airlines were looking forward to promoting Mattala in collaboration with their principals, he said.
Airline representatives also asked the Minister as to what concessions airlines could have from the government in view of mitigating losses they hitherto suffered in view of the pandemic, the Minister said he would look into this.
