Jayaraja Chandrasekera assumes duties as NSB Chairman

Jayaraja Chandrasekera assumes duties as Chairman of NSB

J.Chandrasekera, a Senior Banking Professional with over 40 years of experience in the banking industry assumed duties as Chairman of the National Savings Bank yesterday.

He has earlier worked at the worked in Hatton National Bank and later at Pan Asia Bank as a member of the Board of Directors. He is also functioning in the capacity of Management Consultant. He has gathered experience in wider spectrum of banking while serving at Hatton National Bank and has undergone training at prestigious local and foreign academic institutions and banks. He is a member of the Association of Professional Bankers as well.

In addition, he has also actively engaged with religious institutions specially, Kelaniya Raja MahaViharaya and at present, he is the Secretary of the DayakaSabawa.

SagalaRatnayake - Minister of Ports and Shipping and Southern Development, Eran Wickramaratne, State Minister of Finance, D M Swaminathan, MP, Former Chairman NSB, UpaliGunaratne, Member of Western Provincial Council and former Chairman NSB, Priyantha Ratnayake, Director General-ERD, Ministry of Finance, Former Chairman NSB and the Board of Directors of the NSB and the General Manager/CEO of NSB and Corporate Management were present on the occasion.
