People’s Bank promotes Digital Week in Gampaha

People’s Bank organized a Digital Week recently at its branches in the Gampaha region to offer exclusive digitalized banking experiences to customers to demonstrate how they can enjoy banking on the go.

Positioned as a leading digital financial services provider in the country, People’s Bank’s innovative digital solutions have set high standards in the industry. The Digital Week covered People’s Bank branches in Gampaha, Kelaniya, Nittambuwa, Kiribathgoda, Miniwangoda and Negambo. People’s Bank focus on pioneering digital banking amongst people from all walks of life marks a quantum leap for the bank in its dynamic leadership to become the most digitalized bank , to unlock the benefits of digitalization for its customers.

As part of Digital Week, the Bank offered a number of facilities including opening People’s Wiz Account. People’s Bank has made this a paperless, seamless, digitally integrated system. Customers during the Digital Week were also encouraged to experience the convenience of making cash deposits or withdrawals via the user-friendly Self Banking Service at the venue, simultaneously trying their hand at making hassle-free utility bill payment via digital channels.

During the Digital Week, customers could apply for People’s Debit Card and People’s online banking Facility to infuse greater convenience into their lives. Customers were invited to explore the functions and benefits of People’s Wave Mobile App along with free Data Bundle as an incentive. Customers were also encouraged to apply for People’s Credit Card which offers amazing discounts and savings at leading merchants islandwide coupled with attractive seasonal discounts.

People’s Bank is one of the largest financial service providers in Sri Lanka with a customer base of 10 million spread across the country, serviced through a massive branch network of 738 branches. 

To date, the ever-expanding digital footprint of People’s Bank comprises a network of over 200 self-banking units island-wide. Out of the branch network, Over 150 branches have now been digitally enabled. In addition, the Bank has 800 digital agents dedicated to the Bank’s digital deployment and transformation.
