The new Chairman of Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) Kavan Ratnayake assumed duties yesterday at the Ministry of Tourism. He succeeds Padday Vithana who is now at the Prime Minister’s office. Ratnayake said that he will do his best to help Sri Lanka achieve tourism targets without any political favoritism. Ratnayake was the former Chairman of the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (Lake House) and was also the Country General Manager of IBM, Chief Executive Officer of Dialog Broadband and the Chief Corporate Officer of Dialog Axiata PLC. Ministers John Amaratunga and Sagala Ratnayake were also present at the event.
