Rootcode recently announced the appointment of Mangala Perera as its new Chief Operating Officer for its global business operations.
Perera brings more than 23 years of leadership and industry experience, perfectly complementing Rootcode’s significant growth and expansion in the past months.
In a career spanning over two decades, Perera rose through the ranks to become the Vice President of Software Operations at IFS, taking charge of the Research & Development unit of Sri Lanka and leading 700+ professionals. During his tenure, he led a series of transformational growth initiatives across the organization and was a significant pillar of transforming IFS into one of the largest multinational enterprise software companies.
Mangala Perera is also an active General Council member of Sri Lanka Association for Software Services Companies (SLASSCOM) – leading several activities that facilitate innovation, trade and business, education, and employment for the Sri Lankan IT and knowledge industry. Furthermore, he is a board member of the Center for IT Education Services (CITES) at the Open University of Sri Lanka.
