Prof. Sivaguru S. Sritharan, American Aerodynamicist and Mathematician and currently the Vice Chancellor at the Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences in Bengaluru, India will be a Guest Speaker and Guest of Honor at the ‘Asia Fintech Night’ which will be hosted by the Fintech Association of Sri Lanka(FASL) in collaboration with Colorado, USA based American Academy of Project Management(AAPM) and Global Academy of Finance and Management(GAFM). The event will be held on 5 December, at Hilton Colombo.
Prof. Sritharan served in civilian universities such as University of Southern California and University of Wyoming as faculty member and head of the department and also in the US Defense Department (U. S. Navy and U. S. Air Force) in various capacities ranging from scientist to leadership roles, and also held visiting positions at several international institutions.
He obtained a BSc (Honors) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sri Lanka (Peradeniya) and then obtained a Master of Science degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the University of Washington and a Masters and Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from University of Arizona. He was a Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics at the University of Wyoming and Head of the Science and Technology Branch at the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command in San Diego, California. ‘Asia Fintech Night’ also will be graced by Prof. Douglas W. Arner, the Kerry Holdings Professor at the University of Hong Kong(HKU) as a Guest of Honor and the Keynote Speaker.
