J T S P Kariyawasam has been appointed as the new Chairman of Pradeshiya Sanwardhana Bank. (RDB) The letter of appointment was awarded to Kariyawasam by the Minister of Public Enterprise and Kandy City Development Lakshaman Kiriella yesterday at the office of the leader of the house at Parliment.
J T S P Kariyawasam was a old boy of the Colombo D. S. Senanayake Vidyalaya and Carey College and a graduate of Business Administration {Honours} at the Sri Jayewardenapura University. He is also a senior member of the Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka and an attorney at law by profession. Kariyawasam had hailed top posts in number of State institutions and former Chairman of the Lankaputhra Development Bank, Sri Lanka Coconut Development Authority and Tea Shakthi Fund.
He has worked as the working director of the Road Development Authority for a long period of time and a person with matured experience.
