Russels Tea Service celebrates 33rd anniversary

Tea Service is adopting new health measures to protect their staff and clients to overcome the current COVID-19 pandemic situation.

Russels, the first company in Sri Lanka to launch tea service to the corporate sector 33years ago, is now offering their services to 70 companies in Colombo. The company also celebrated their 33rd anniversary on March 25 at their head office in Maradana Road, Punchi Borella.

Directors, Russels Tea, Rashane and Jehan Perera said that they stitched Special Personal Protective (PP) kits to international health standards from their SF Clothing (Pvt) Ltd to offer them to their Tea Service providing staff. “We are also hoping to take our PPP kits stitching business to the corporate sector and also look at exports in the future.”

Lindsay Fernando Group General Manager said that in addition they continued with their welfare activities towards the staff. “In addition all our staff was vaccinated against C-19 virus.”

Founder Chairman Russel Perera said that the C-19 pandemic has also made them think new and are adopting several new measures to meet ‘new normal’ challengers and demands.

“The high standards we maintain at Russel’s has led to increasing demand for our range of tea which went from being distributed locally to being exported to global markets.. The exports too will commence soon.”
